Wagakki Band - 雨のち感情論
#1
So I totally missed this, but apparently everyone's favourite shamisen and koto-wielders are releasing a new single on September 6th.

It appears to be a new song (or at least it isn't on my version of the most recent album Shikisai).

Unsurprisingly it's available in 43 different editions (maybe an exaggeration). The JAME World link below says its source is the WagakkiBand website, but if you check out said site the English version says nothing about it...I imagine it's legit though.

Oh yeah I noticed it a few days ago. I've been too lazy to make a thread or anything though. Wink

Oh OK, maybe cut and paste this into a news thread, and I can edit accordingly?

Now I've checked the Japanese version of their site and Google Translated, it does seem legit.

Good idea. The deed's been done. Anyway, I may or may not get this. We'll see; I really haven't been in the mood for them lately.

Quote:Titled Ame Nochi Kanjyo Ron, it will come out in three editions. All of them will feature the title track and the B-side Tsuki ni sakebu yoru, as well as their instrumental versions.

The regular edition will come with a bonus track titled Soko ni Aru Kamo Shirenai, and its instrumental version. The LIVE edition will come with footage of the band’s performance on July 21st at Tokyo International Forum Hall, while the MV edition will feature a music video for the title track and a making-of video.

Interesting that it's the regular edition that gets the extra song.

3, 40, 43, all pretty much the same, eh?

Well yeah that's how it usually works.

Huh? Not in my experience... Usually the extra ones seem to be scattered across the special editions.

Oh, and there's actually a 4th version, with a frickin' Virtual Reality version of the music video?!?

Virtual reality seem pretty far removed from traditional Japanese folk....

I think it depends on the label or maybe even the genre. I have some Jupiter and D regular editions with bonus tracks and I assume Dudemanguy has those as well. The one Kiryu album I have even has two bonus tracks, both of which are not on the versions with bonus dvd's.
If you can't get enough of me giving my opinions without having asked for it, you can read more of it on my Kevy Metal weblog.

In the majority of cases that I've encountered, the regular edition is the one with all the bonus tracks while the special ones have PVs or something. Visual kei as a whole is like that, but I've seen it with other bands like Aldious.
