Quickie interview with Miya of VRAIN. this was the one they weren't able to alter just before their vocalist Kikuno was fired for tardiness, if you remember. Luckily they got a replacement in fairly short order!

————After HIRO <vo, key> withdrew in March 2016, RODDY <g> and LUMINA < key> also withdrew one after another, but for what reasons did they each left the band?

MIYA: HIRO found it difficult to continue band activities due to his personal circumstances, so it was decided he would graduate. In LUMINA's case it was due to it being a long distance activity, but I think she was really good to persevere until then. LUMINA and RODDY had also started other activities, and after graduating HIRO decided to withdraw due to differences in direction.

————How did the new singer KIKUNO and the new keyboard player SANA come to join the band?

MIYA: As soon as I started looking for members, I found a tweet on SANA 's twitter about wanting to join a band and I got into contact, and at the sound test, from the first time we played up to the part from where the sequencer came in, we thought "This is it!" and it was decided to ask her to join immediately. We felt KIKUNO was the most talented person from the several months of auditions we did, and she joined us after a few of those auditions.

————How will the music of VRAIN change, in having a new lineup including these two people?

MIYA: KIKUNO has an attractive voice and is a vocalist who can make VRAIN’s melodies more convincing. SANA is a keyboardist who can add a color that was not there until now into VRAIN songs making full use of large-scale hard synths as if from a previous era. That both are newcomers to the scene is good, I think, but they have wonderful qualities, and there is no question of them not having the skills to be a member of VRAIN at the present time. I am convinced that if all our gears mesh in the future, I’m confident we will be able to create a more impressive sound than ever.

————What is the schedule for the next release?

MIYA: First of all, in order to create a business card for the new organization we’ll be releasing a CD that interweaves new and old songs that we’re currently in the middle of diligently recording. Since I'd like to release it between the end of the year and the beginning of next year, please look forward to enjoying it! ■■
