The Japanese Band Research Thread
So Shima was in both Dione and Dior?

Those were his older bands. I just thought that Dior was an alternate spelling, but Dione might've preceded Dior.

Well isn't that interesting. I never commented on it because I couldn't understand who Dior was, or if it was just Dione, but it's interesting to know they were in fact two different albeit kinda similarly named pre-CM bands.

I'll certainly watch for info on them.

Are they definitely different bands then , we're sure it's not just a name change? I was thinking Dior might have got a copyright warning, but if that's the second band, that wouldn't work Wink

Masayuki Osada was the drummer in Dior, so it looks like he'd been making music alongside Norifumi Shima throughout the ages. I thought it was mainly Crystal Clear and parts of Concerto Moon, but I guess this was not the case.

Nonetheless, I'm hoping to get more information on these aforementioned bands. I'm really salty I lost out on those bootlegs last night. Laugh

Masayuki Osada lists a demo 'Judgement Day/King of Judas / Dior [Tape] (?)' on his Tumblr discography page here. No date, but obviously must be '95 or earlier.

Likely 1993 or earlier. Crystal Clear formed in 1994, and he was the only other original member to remain throughout their line-ups. I think there must've been a singer before Nobuhiro Kurachi in Crystal Clear, but all recordings included him on vocals.
