The Japanese Band Research Thread
Oh definitely, imagine the misery of trying to find info on the Legend in question without getting mostly results for the actual NWOBHM band who are reasonably popular.

Edit: Grrr. There's not even a Japan Metal Indies page on them, surprisingly. Beat of Japanese Metal Motion's owner has their second demo, but not much info the band itself.

Salem was known as Legend from 1984-88.

But I don't know if they ever released anything under this name.

Maybe someone can ask Tatsu Mikami, who is still a very active musican. Big Grin

Does anyone know anything about 'Deserver', guitarist Kiyoshi's (of SxxRxxSxx) former band (I have their CD). All I really know is they were described as Thrash Metal and appeared on the 1988 Skull Smash compilation from Explosion Records, along with the likes of Jurassic Jade and Death Blow (click on the link for full list and pics). Has anyone got that compilation or perhaps a demo from them?

Please bear it mind I'm always busy though and it may take a while!

I only knew of them from Skull Smash, I assume they must have had at least a demo or something. Most of the bands on those old V/As had at least that.

The Corroseum has some nice pics of the LP's 4 page insert Here, even if he doesn't like the bands (lol). It gives a basic line-up:
Vo. Eisaku Gu. Kiyoshi (obviously!) Ba: Hitoshi Dr. Liar Shades.

The Corroseum’s scans of the V/A comps are super useful. I like that they’re always nice big and clear to read.
