This post will be a work in progress.
Anyway, here's a list of rules for this sub-forum:
1. Japanese bands only!
2. One active news thread per band.
3. Everyone is allowed to contribute news articles. First come, first serve. If there's a duplicate thread, it will get merged.
4. If possible, try to provide a source. Rumors and unsourced/untranslated news can go in the general news thread.
5. All metal (or close enough) articles will go in the root forum. This includes hard rock that has strong heavy metal leanings. Anything non-metal (this includes metalcore, nu metal, etc) goes in the non-metal sub-forum. Nothing is prohibited in the non-metal subforum, but please keep in mind this forum's priority is metal and we aren't obligated to cover all non-metal acts. So please keep these in mind when posting an article:
6. Articles will be locked one month after its released (if there's a band thread for them on this forum). Discussion can resume in the relevant band threads.
7. For metal bands, feel free to open a thread for a new album even after its been released. I'd say 6 months is a good window here. Usually albums like this wouldn't have a band thread, since they're obscure enough that everyone here missed its release date. For non-metal bands, if its past the release date, don't bother. Any discussion of such albums can be in the relevant genre catch-all thread or the 2017 new release thread.
8. Discussion/comments in the news articles threads is permitted (but please try to stay on topic and make relevant posts). Think of them as new album hype threads (most music forums have those). After the album is released, use the relevant band thread instead (if one exists). If no thread exists, either one can be created (assuming they're relevant enough) or that thread can operate as the defacto thread for that particular band.

- Its a band you have a strong interest in (and can regularly maintain it).
- Other members here would be interested in it.
- Is relevant to the bands/scenes discussed here. For example, Gacharic Spin and Band-Maid are not metal, but they are very relevant.
