Female-fronted progressive metal, consisting of a couple ex-members of Tiananogue. I found their debut album to be pretty good (maybe a bit front-loaded). Vocals may take some time getting used to, but I found them fairly distinctive in this type of music (esp. for a Japanese band). They're closer to Euro-prog than many of their country-mates. I do prefer them to many DT clones though. Pretty good musicianship, but then again nearly all prog bands have good musicians involved (regardless of where they're from).
I've given this 3 or 4 plays now, and I would place it in the bracket of "good, but check out Light Bringer/Mahatma/Octaviagrace/Tears of Tragedy first".
It's the vocals that bring it down for me, I find them pretty pitchy. If it were a live album I'd let them off, but there are places where I just think, how did the producer let that be the final vocal take?
They have some good ideas though and I'll stick with them, just that they aren't quite a top tier band for me.
I never had that huge of an issue with the vocals, but I do notice vocals (esp. females) get really pitchy over there. Its like its deliberate or something (or they deliberately left in mistakes for whatever reason). I guess at least they didn't post-process the vocals.
I wouldn't put them in the 1st tier either, but definitely a solid 2nd.
