Very well could be. Gargoyle's one of the few bands over there that doesn't name individual members as songwriters.

If JASRAC works anything like BUMA/STEMRA, you sort of have to if you want to share the revenue evenly over all band members.

Well Katsuji in his withdrawal/retirement comment admitted to never writing any music so I guess you can take him out of consideration. Wink I've kinda always assumed Kiba does most of the songwriting, but who really knows?

Did he really say that? That's a refreshing bit of honest information. He's an awesome drummer though, so he's got nothing to be ashamed of Wink

Yup. From the news post:

Quote:自分は作詞は全く、作曲はほぼ手がける事も無く、デザイン的な物も手がける事は有りませんでしたが唯一の武器であるドラムで共に走ってきました。

"I did not handle any song lyrics, composing, or design. My only weapon was drums."

Actually, this is pretty useful information that I neglected to mention in that Gargoyle thread. I'm going to move this brief derailment there. And yes, Katsuji is an amazing drummer. The man's incredible body of work speaks volumes.

Edit: And moved.

He says "almost no composing".

Ah, thanks for the correction.

Well at least it seems like Kentaro will go all in with his solo stuff after Gargoyle implodes. Hopefully, it'll be good stuff.

Hmm, yeah, Kentaro might do something cool on his own. I guess Daida Laida are probably going to probably be busier as well.

I'm very curious to hear what Kentaro will be doing on his own. And what kind of style it's going to be. I know he did a ton of work for Gargoyle's recordings on the technical side of things, but I've never really known who wrote what in Gargoyle. He's definitely one of my favorite guitarists both in playing and in tone though.
