Ningen-Isu (人間椅子) - 新青年 (June 5, 2019)

Finally the news you've all been waiting for! For their 30th year anniversary (they start counting from 1989 on their website), Ningen-Isu will be releasing a new album appropriately named "新青年" (literally "New Youth"). It's up on HMV which lists two editions as usual. One will be limited with a bonus DVD and the other is the regular edition. More details to come soon hopefully.

Dudemanguy's prayers have been heard, halleluyah! Wink

Of course, I'm looking forward to this as well. The last one was slightly below what I think they should be capable of in my opinion, but quality is always to be expected from these guys.

They've been in the studio a lot for this one and have been taking their time (well 2 years is kinda long by their pace anyway). And since it's an album for the 30th year anniversary, I trust they'll be putting on their A+ game.

The last couple of ones they took more than a year to make were highlights in their discography in my opinion, so I have similar expectations to yours Smile

Them taking a couple years to make this and seemingly waiting specifically for the 30th anniversary, it's definitely justifiable hype. If the band hadn't run out of ideas in 28 years I'm sure they've saved some incredible ones for such a milestone album. Tongue

They love their milestones over there. Tongue If I'm being totally honest though, their 2009 album (20th year) is one of their worst ones. On the other hand, the 1999 album is one of my favorites. Let's hope it's closer to that.

Looks like the DVD will be a recording documentary of their 2014 album, "無頼豊饒". There's a digest up on youtube as well.

Weird... Why not a doc of the making of THIS album?

Very good question. Laugh

Yeah or any other one between that one and the new one Laugh

If that's the only bonus, I can safely buy the regular edition. Don't get me wrong, I love recording documentaries, but I would have to speak Japanese to get the jist of it.
