Dead End is one of the best and most original heavy metal bands from that era. You're missing out. Even the gothic rock album is really good. Tongue

Especially the gothic rock album. The more metal oriented stuff I find inconsistent as hell. Every time I put on 'Ghost of Romance', I'm a bit annoyed that there are so few songs of the calibre of 'Phantom Nation'.

Hey Agonymph, did you ever happen to check out a newer Dead End album like Dream Demon Analyzer? I think that would be more up your alley perhaps.

Yeah both of their post reunion albums are really good. More modern in sound of course, but still top tier stuff. I've never thought Dead End was ever close to inconsistent though.

I don't think they're inconsistent either, but they're certainly weird and unconventional enough to be really divisive in that people seem to either love or hate them.

I thought 'Metamorphosis' was pretty good, though the highlights on their earlier stuff were more my thing, but I think that one was more consistent than the earlier stuff. 'Shambara' was quite consistent as well, but I found that one a bit dull.
