For those who don't know, The Makai is like an ongoing show in Japan with a mix of pro wrestling, musical theatre and live music, and they released their debut album last year.
A supporting album was produced, with guitarist ISAO (Mari Hamada, Fuki Commune, Babymetal etc) as primary songwriter, but also featuring a wide range of guests such as Nov (Zigoku Quartet), Ibuki (Disqualia, Rie aka Suzaku, solo), Saki (Mary's Blood) etc.
The album featured a fairly eclectic mix of sounds, from downtuned modern alternative metal, to Vai/Satriani-style instrumental shred, to ballads.

More details will be confirmed of the second album on September 2nd, although since the show features a rotating cast of musicians, anyone could be involved. Ibuki is in the latest publicity photo below, but ISAO isn't - so who knows.
