Liar

Not exactly a lot of info out there on this band, but they're an important albeit brief part of Dead End's history. This was Morrie and Crazy Cool Joe's first band together, and I believe their first band overall, active from 1982 to 1984. The band produced at least two demos before disbanding to start Dead End. Liar also featured original Dead End guitarist Takahiro. Liar played a mixture of heavy metal and hard rock songs.

Here's a photo of them just below. Funny enough, the picture was taken by the band's friend and eventual Dead End guitarist Yuji Adachi, who was a member of Terra Rosa still at the time of this picture.

(Excuse the ridiculously dumb video, it's the only one with this particular Liar song...)

I heard about this band back in 2013, due to a curiosity from a Metal Forces magazine article (circa 1984, from Kamikaze Killers) that featured Liar and a few other then-unsigned Japameta acts (e.g. Anthem, Sniper, Hurry Scuary, Juni Hitoe).

I've got that in a PDF somewhere, those old Metal Forces magazines were awesome, I know the exact segment you're talking about too. Tongue I found the magazine's numerous Japanese metal features super impressive for that time, considering how hard some of these bands would have been to access.
