In Case You Can't Access...
This can't be stressed enough. If you suddenly can't access the forums or the wiki, then send an e-mail to admin [at] japanesemetalforum [dot] com or find some other way to get my attention. I don't use most forums these days, so e-mailing me is the quickest way to get my attention. Make sure to include all known IP addresses that couldn't connect. It is imperative that I let the host know that you were blocked by mistake. I don't recommend the use of proxies at all.
I think it would probably be useful to have the page redirect to the admin email or something if it fails to load.
Occasionally, I write Western and Japanese music reviews.
Sadly, there's no way to do that. If you get blocked by the server, then you get blocked. It's probably for the best, though, as cyber attacks have become more rampant in recent years.

With that said, I do feel for some of our visitors who've had problems accessing. E-mailing me is the quickest way to get my attention. You could also try contacting another member by means of proxy to get your issue resolved.
I did a quick edit of our 403 error page to include this message to all blocked visitors:
Quote:You are seeing this page because your IP address - is not authorized to view the site. If this is an error, you must e-mail admin [at] jpmetal [dot] org with your confirmed blocked IP address to grant access again.
If you want to get back on, you MUST contact me with your confirmed blocked IP address. After that, I will check our logs to see if you were blocked by mistake. If not, then I have to contact the host. It will then take another six hours before the block can be resolved.
If you use Opera, you can try turning on the browser's own VPN function. Chances are that it should work. That's one other way to bypass these blocks.
It appears that people are still having trouble pulling up the forums. The best course of action would just be getting a reliable VPN provider. There are multiple, but it all depends on what you're using in the first place.

CyberGhost and TunnelBear (there's also a Chrome extension) are two VPN providers that I've used before, and they're quite reliable.

Some VPNs should also be available as browser plugins. For Firefox, try Hoxx VPN Proxy or Hide My IP VPN. For Chrome, try DotVPN or ZenMate VPN.

Hopefully, the above should be more than enough to assist with connectivity issues. Once again, just send me an e-mail as soon as possible.
I'll occasionally bump this thread, just in case people are trying to get back to their accounts or have problems registering one.

Like I said, just e-mail me to get things sorted out.
Send an e-mail to admin [at] japanesemetalforum [dot] com, if you can't get back to your account.

Also, you can try OpenVPN (select your client after downloading VPN files).

The host told me that they will be making some changes this weekend to see if things run smoothly from here on out.
Pay attention to the fact that a notice was added to the header, so in case someone doesn't see THIS thread, they will probably notice the header message itself. Follow the instructions above.
It looks like I'm getting less notices about this at this time, which is good. I hope we'll be able to cut down on this issue as soon as possible.

By all means, though, let me know by e-mail when things go awry again.
