tricot is doing a full US tour (they've done this before actually). Looks like they'll be landing in Houston, so I guess that's my cue to crawl out of my basement.

Occasionally, I write Western and Japanese music reviews.

You know, I appreciate that naming Laugh

Certainly sets a precedent for the next one... Wink

Two of my favorite bands on the same bill. Was wondering when those two would play together.

Well, BabyMetal was really fun. I really, really enjoyed it. Front-loaded with new songs that I enjoyed quite a bit, and then finished up with existing tunes. Great job on "Karate," "The Road to Resistance," and "The One." Su really showed off her pipes.

The crowd was good, too. For the most part. One idiot kept trying to crowd surf. You'd think he'd've gotten the hint after never getting very far the first 15 times he did it. But he was persistent, I'll give him that.

Other than that, crowd made lots of noise and sang along. It was really fun.
For those who are interested in that sort of thing, my collection on Discogs.com.

I forgot to mention this earlier but the famous math rock band, LITE, will be doing a surprisingly extensive UK/Ireland tour in October. Not sure what prompted this, but it's pretty nice news for all you brits out there that like some math rock.

Occasionally, I write Western and Japanese music reviews.

Looks like they're co-headlining with tricot over there:

Man, and I thought the Dir En Grey N.A. tour had a lot of dates. That's 17 states, the capital and a random Canadian show too. Oh
