General/Misc. Non-Metal News
Kid guitar prodigy Li-sa X will release her debut album "Will" on October 24 in Japan, and on October 26 in the rest of the world. Announcement from her Facebook page:

My new album "WILL" will be released on October 24 in Japan‼️
It will be released worldwide on October 26 as well.
This is an album by my original songs (except track 9).

I am very happy to release this new album ‘WILL’.

Over the years, I have simply enjoyed covering music of various artists. On my debut EP I released a year and a half ago, I was even able to have my own tune. Then I started receiving comments from people who had been watching me on YouTube and other media that they wanted to hear more original tunes, which gradually motivated me to write tunes of my own.

However, writing original tunes was very difficult. Things did not proceed as smoothly I had wanted to; there were times I almost broke off my heart.

Meanwhile, I had the fortune to have chances to perform with a wide array of wonderful top-notch players. What electrified me was that each and every one of them had a strong personality, tone, and music, which were immediately recognizable. Their performances renewed and further strengthened my desire to have and pursue my own personality as a guitarist.

This album is filled with such a ‘WILL’ of mine. .

02. Pale Pink Monster
03. P.R.O.
04. Fluctuation
05. Serendipity

Amolphous (did I spell that right?) have a new single out:

Bit prog rock, bit VK, bit electronica I guess? It's a free download if you're interested.

This one's some king of Prog Rock I think:

Seems pleasant enough. Available at the dude's Bandcamp if you're interested.

Suspectum Nox DiscordiA have apparently dropped the 'Suspectum nox' form their name (not too many Latin speakers in Japan, I'm guessing!). They've also hired a new (female) vocalist and guitarist. They describe themselves as a 'Wa x Erectrocore' (no sniggering at the back!). Releasing a couple of 2/3 track CD's this month and are confusingly calling both their '1st mini-album'. Go figure:

Didn't make a thread as they seem to be 'venue-only' for now, at least, but maybe they get further distribution later. Personally sounds like some sort of Electronic Japanese Folk Melodeath type stuff to me, rather than 'Core, but its all over the place and anyway I'm hopeless at classifying stuff.

I'd call it downtuned for sure Wink

One riff is not enough to tell if it's closer to the metal or the hardcore end of the spectrum though.

Female fronted Gothic Rockers Strawberry Painkiller, who feature Zettai Club's bassist, put out a trailer for their 2nd mini-album today:

Album has been out since June, so not sure why the trailer's so late. Either 1,000 yen download, or 1,728 CD-R from Amazon

And girl band Mercury disbanded on December 29th after a year and a half and one single....

Damn. I thought they sounded pretty decent from the little I'd heard.
