D_Drive - Maximum Impact (May 31, 2019)
Signing with a Western label has meant that D_Drive is now officially available on streaming sites, including Spotify and YouTube. I don't know what the policy here is for linking to that sort of thing, but anyway for those of you curious about the band but lacking spending money, you can try them out now.

I hope this helps the band get discovered by more people. I definitely recommend them for fans of technical guitar instrumental HR/HM.

I just wish they'd included Russian Roulette in the set -- but it's nothing new for a personal fave to be missing from a compilation, I suppose.
There's absolutely nothing with posting official links/streams. Go crazy. Tongue
Occasionally, I write Western and Japanese music reviews.

Wow nice job there. You must have a very high luck stat. Wink

Not so much, depends on how many people entered the competition.

I have to say though that i did have two orders today, one from my discogs store and one from ebay.
The second one while writing the previous post.

You may say it's a lucky day overall Big Grin
For those who want to listen before they buy, have no budget, or don't have good luck winning contests (Wink), here's the playlist for the official upload at YouTube:

Ah...a little sadly (but probably not that much of a surprise) the original Japanese-edition albums/EPs have been pulled from iTunes (at least the U.K. version).

Their most recent singles were never on iTunes anyway, so no issue there.

Anyway, interested to see how well they can capitalise on the U.K. visit.

I would have thought the most efficient way to publicise them would be through interviews in the U.K./European guitar mags (surely their natural audience)...apparently they did do a “journalist showcase” today but not sure where the journalists were from.
I can tell you with a certain authority that Holland's biggest guitar magazine was not invited Wink
If you can't get enough of me giving my opinions without having asked for it, you can read more of it on my Kevy Metal weblog.
Lovely! Big Grin
Feel free to request a translation here. And check out my previous work in this section.
Please bear it mind I'm always busy though and it may take a while!
