Well, I think this will affect a total of two people here, but whatever. This thread is for all whining and news about the impending postal strike. I'd rather have a thread for this instead of polluting other threads.
The significance on me is obvious - I order a lot of CDs, and no mail service = no CDs. I could just download things for the time being, but most of the stuff I like isn't on mp3 and I have to buy anyway.
Anyway, the workers are going on strike if nothing with changes with Canada Post:

I'm already switching over to Amazon.jp. I have 2 open orders with HMV Japan. One is tied up by 3 backordered items, so I'll let it sit there for the duration of the strike. The other one I'm either going to cancel all of it or half of it. I have a 3000 yen coupon in it which I don't want to waste. However, I want those Rami, SeRafiL, and Dragon Eyes CDs badly. I also have another order with CD Japan, but I may just keep adding pre-orders to it for the duration of the postal strike. Another option is to have them change the shipping to FedEx. But I *hate* FedEx.
I also have some stuff on order with Noppin (my shopping service). But they can hold things for 2 months. I'll see if they can ship via DHL, if need be.
