Aldious General Discussion
Okay, so this happened:

A little background info may be desired... This is from the drum magazine I frequently contribute to (Slagwerkkrant) and one of my contributions this month was an interview with the stepdaughter of a prominent Dutch jazz and world music drummer who is a good musician herself. During the editing stages I forwarded the 'We Are' video to my editor - knowing pretty well that he despises this kind of music - with a comment in the spirit of "there's more stepdaughters who accomplish something".

Much to my surprise, I found this article in the magazine when I opened it. For those of you who don't speak Dutch, it says something like this:

"We didn't want to make a Slagwerkkrant Special out of it, but when we were occupied with the photography of this issue, Kevin Pasman, author of our cover story (and our Slagwerkkrant in-house specialist on Japanese metal), came up with this. Just like Lucas van Merwijk, Terry Bozzio also has a drumming stepdaughter: Marina. Since 2015, she has been the drummer of the Japanese all-female metal band Aldious and with endorsements with DW, Sabian and Vic Firth under her wing, she has been seriously prolific. In Japan, Aldious is very 'big', but the question is of course if they can make an impression in Europe and the US. Terry Bozzio wouldn't be to blame if this didn't happen, as he proudly and enthusiastically promotes the band of his daughter (born out of a former marriage of his wife Mayumi). We have noticed that one thing certainly runs in the family: Marina Bozzio also appears to like enormous drumkits."
If you can't get enough of me giving my opinions without having asked for it, you can read more of it on my Kevy Metal weblog.
Nice! Smile
She's out in the UK now too...

Feel free to request a translation here. And check out my previous work in this section.
Please bear it mind I'm always busy though and it may take a while!

Its definitely Yoshi though, from the guitar sound.

I wonder was this shot at one of the ReAldious events where they wore the back-catalogue of outfits? Tokis outfit is definitely an old one and I think they all are.
