That's why I mentioned the characteristic charm. I think that save for Haga, every singer that came after him was technically superior to Ozaki, but there's just something about his voice that is exactly the right thing for those first three albums. A combination of atmosphere and attitude, I guess.

Koike was a big part of that as well, I'm assuming from how the arrangements work. I don't think Shima's ever going to allow some key-pusher to tinker with the arrangements ever again.
