Vote for your three favorite Mari Hamada albums. I'm more a fan of her first two albums, because they were pretty raw and heavy for their time (1983). Her AOR releases do very little for me, although her voice is stunning as always.
I remember sampling some of her more recent stuff, which is solid and sees the return of her metal roots (more modern than traditional, however), but I still find myself preferring songs such as "Noah" or "Don't Change Your Mind" when I want my metal fix from her.
If I had to choose between Lunatic Doll and Romantic Night, I'd instantly side with the latter, as it's much heavier. "Shadow", "Xanadu", "Violence Fire", "Don't Change Your Mind", "From Long Ago", and "Jumping High" are all favorites of mine. I also would say "Noah", "Black Hole", "All Night Party", "Spacer", "Lights", and "Bottom Energy" are amazing on the predecessor's part.
